Registration is open!  Online pre-registration required for all participants.  Sign up early, as onsite registration on race day is by QR code and smartphone only.

All new venue for 2024!  Closed to traffic, fast, flat one-loop course!  No 90-degree turns!  Real bathrooms, food and drink afterwards, and still FREE!  How can you beat it?

The Bottone Mile turns 30 years old in 2024!  This is also the 70th anniversary of the first ever sub-4 minute mile by Sir Roger Bannister on May 6, 1954 (3:59.4).  How fast can YOU run the mile?


Ninigret Park, 5 Park Lane, Charlestown, RI

Start times:
5:00pm:  Bib pickup OPENS (Everyone must check in to get their bib)
5:50pm:  Bib pickup CLOSES (Please plan accordingly; we can't allow anyone without a bib to participate)
6:00pm:  Childrens' 500m Fun Run
Immediately after Children's Run:  1-Mile event

Bottone Mile History:
1994 - 2017:  Track (Westerly or Stonington)
2018 - 2023:  Measured road mile (Misquamicut)
2024 -        :  Measured mile on traffic-free Ninigret Park criterium course (Charlestown)

Entry fees:  FREE

Bibs will be seeded in order of projected time entered in online pre-registration.  Lowest seed times get a spot on starting line.
